Course description

The first module in this series looks at the importance of understanding accounting principles in relation to financial reporting.

We do a deep dive into basic accounting principles, and investigate common financial reports directors need to understand.

Finally, we explore common financial terminology so you can better identify problems and ask the right questions to management and around the board table. 

This is the first of five modules in the Finance Essentials online module series. You can purchase the whole series or the individual modules.

Duration

One to two hours.

The course is available for six months after purchase.

• Experienced directors wanting to improve their finance skills

• Basic accounting principles followed when preparing financial statements.
• Identify and recognise the types of financial reports a director may receive.
