An evening with Sir Rob Fenwick
The Nelson Marlborough branch of the Institute of Directors invites you to attend its AGM and Annual Dinner, sponsored by Port Nelson. We are delighted that our guest speaker this year will be Sir Rob Fenwick.
This is sure to be an entertaining evening and we encourage you to bring along your partner, business colleagues and friends as your guests.
Sir Rob is a Fellow of the Institute of Directors, a conservationist and businessman.
He’s an oyster farmer (pioneering single seed farming at Te Matuku Bay on Waiheke Island), and a successful commercial composter, co-founding Living Earth which composted about two million tonnes of organic waste, before selling the business in 2015.
He chairs National Science Challenge Sustainable Seas and NZ Antarctic Research Institute and is a director of Te Papa Tongarewa. He is on advisory boards for Air NZ and Westpac and a director of Ngati Whatua’s commercial business Whai Rawa Ltd.
With a love of New Zealand’s natural history he launched Predator Free NZ and Kiwis for kiwi Trust.
Knighted for services to business and the environment, he’s an inductee of the NZ Business Hall of Fame; the Sir Peter Blake Medallist 2015; has an honorary doctorate in Natural Resources from Lincoln University, and the Fenwick Ice Piemont in Antarctica is named after him.
