Nick has a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting and Economics) from Canterbury University, is a fellow of the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants and a qualified cost and management accountant.  He has also held a number of directorships and chairmanships in both the SME market and not-for-profit sector. Nick is currently Treasurer of PARS, Chair (Audit & Risk) and Board Member of NZ Cancer Society as well as member of the Tauranga Te Papa Rotary Club.

Drawing on his 25 years’ plus experience in senior finance management positions, Nick runs training for Chartered Accountant Australia and New Zealand in the areas of Finance for Non-Financial Managers and Professional Ethics as well as being a facilitator for the Institute of Directors.

In Nick’s opinion, everyone has blind spots in thinking and decision making – good governance gives a wide range of perspectives that collectively overcome falling foul of those blind spots.
