Mark Jordan

CMInstD

After graduating from Lincoln University, Mark spent 30 years working in publicly listed and privately owned companies across many sectors. In his time as CEO/Executive Director for Allied Concrete and Petroleum, he gained governance experience in joint venture companies with multi-nationals and family owned organisations.

During this time, Mark attended governance and strategy programmes at Harvard and London Business Schools. His current governance roles include Taggart Civil Construction and Eco Central Waste and Recycling. He also specialises in family business governance with roles on advisory boards, and he guides business leaders as an accredited Executive Coach.

Mark believes investment in good governance provides necessary structure to make sure opportunities are chased and serious risks are controlled. Chief executives and leadership teams often spend the majority of their time dealing with current issues and a board can provide specialist knowledge to ensure success for the long term. Progressive leadership is what is required for communities to prosper.

For relaxation (and occasionally frustration) Mark is a keen fly fisherman and golfer.
