Jane Huria

CNZM, LLB, CFInstD

Jane has broad-based commercial experience including law, insurance, market research and the financial markets. Directorships over the past 25 years in the electricity, technology, dairying, business development, health, insurance, property development, Crown and sport / recreation sectors have resulted in many years of governance, strategy and organisation development experience. Jane is Ngai Tahu, affiliates to Ngai Tuahuriri and participates in her Marae activities at Tuahiwi, North Canterbury.

Jane is a Chartered Fellow of the New Zealand Institute of Directors. She has worked in the field of governance throughout the Commonwealth for the Commonwealth Secretariat and was a faculty member of the World Bank’s Global Corporate Governance Forum. In 2012 Jane was awarded Companion of the New Zealand Order of Merit for services to governance.

Her current roles include Chair, Unimed; Trustee, Court Theatre; Director, Fortuna Group Limited; Director, Naylor Love; Director, Pegasus Health; Trustee, Canterbury Cricket Trust; and Member, Greater Christchurch Partnership.
