Governance practices are not standardised across borders; rather they are influenced by multiple factors inherent to each country’s business environment. The Indian and Chinese culture while complementary in many ways, is separated by their varied political systems, societal norms and capital market efficiency that impacts legal protections and regulatory mechanisms and controls.
You will come away from this forum understanding the:
- different cultural contexts in which to effectively do business in India and China
- cultural mistakes to avoid
- issues faced by top business leaders born in India and China who have done business in their home countries and in New Zealand
- unconscious bias that exists so that you can manage past them to build effective business relationships in India and China
The forum is a joint venture between the Institute of Directors, NZ Asian Leaders and the Superdiversity Centre for Law, Policy and Business that aims to deepen a working knowledge of cultures and factors influencing business success in India and China.
