2020, what a year… looking ahead to 2021, from a directors viewpoint.
Come and join us for some early Christmas cheer as we welcome local experienced director, Wayne Norrie to share some observations and learnings gained in probably one of the most challenging years in recent times.
Wayne will also look to 2021 at some of the key governance issues that lay ahead.
Thanks to our hosts and sponsors, ASB.
From a technology background and working all around the globe, Wayne has deep experience in sales, management and leadership. He also co-founded his own company, Revera and led this through rapid growth and a successful exit.
Wayne has since assisted many companies with strategy and growth, and mentored leaders and CEO’s who want to grow great global companies.
He is currently deputy chair of NZTE, chair of Furnware, chair of Sportsground and a director of NOW Networks.
Previous positions include chairperson of Online Republic, Hi Tech Trust, Fronde, Maven, Team BLM, NZTE Beachheads, and Director Aspeq.
In 2016, Wayne was awarded the IDC Outstanding Contribution to the NZ Technology Sector and the AUT Leadership Award for contribution to business.
He is a Chartered Fellow of the Institute of Directors, a member of the WCNZ (World Class New Zealander) network, and a Fellow of the NZ Institute of Management and a judge for the NZ Export Awards.
Wayne is also a popular speaker on Governance, Culture, Strategy, and Leadership.
