Te Pūkenga was established in 2020 and is New Zealand’s largest tertiary education provider. How will it make a difference?
Murray Strong, chair of Te Pūkenga, joins us to offer his perspective on the establishment of this new tertiary institution from both a governance and a management point of view. He will also look at the role and value of tertiary education to the city of Dunedin.
Murray Strong is an independent director and chair, and a member of the Institute of Directors in New Zealand. Murray has governance and senior management experience across many sectors including tertiary education. He was the IST Establishment Unit Executive Director, where he was closely involved with all workstreams, key stakeholders, and the future direction. He is chair of the Centre of Digital Excellence in Dunedin.
