Leading director Ross Butler discusses leveraging COVID-19 learnings in the boardroom.
Our second Live governance snapshot – and first event where Nelson Marlborough Branch can freely socialise again over drinks and nibbles – will feature local leading director Ross Butler discussing the opportunities for directors to improve governance processes, board and director behaviour, board/executive dynamics, shareholder and stakeholder engagement, values, culture and purpose as a result of recent experiences.
His talk will be followed by a facilitated Q&A session with questions from the floor encouraged.
Ross Butler has extensive governance experience in NZ and Australia in business, Crown, Iwi and community sectors. His current roles include the chairmanship of Mercer Investments Australia, YHA NZ, TANZ eCampus, director of Hockey NZ Major Events, and FMA appointed member of the Financial Services Code Committee. His former roles have included Chairmanship of NMIT over 10 years, Mercer NZ, Rangitane Treaty Settlement investment companies, the Crown’s Insurance and Rebuild Agencies after the Christchurch earthquakes, Swimming NZ, Nelson Bays Football, and deputy chair of GNS Science. Ross is a Chartered Fellow of the Institute of Directors.
