Directors Deep Dive with Secure Strategy.
With the new Privacy Act coming into effect on 1 December, directors as well as audit and risk committees need to ensure they are ready. They should understand the risks their organisation is exposed to, in addition to the steps that can be taken to achieve a “reasonable” level of security as required by Information Privacy Principle 5.
This session will give you a better understanding of the actions that can be taken to reduce your organisation’s exposure, and the questions you should ask of your management team.
This interactive discussion-style event will be capped at 20 attendees only. Whether you are completely new to the topic or have years of relevant experience, you will be encouraged to ask questions and actively contribute your perspective.
Simon Thomas, the founder of Secure Strategy, has over 20 years’ experience working with organisations to secure their IT infrastructure. He has worked with global investment banks (Barclays Capital, NatWest Markets) based in London, and with large corporates and law firms in New Zealand. He provides training sessions in cybersecurity and fraud prevention to companies throughout New Zealand and speaks at conferences on the subject of cybersecurity.
