Overview

Whether you own your own business, lead a team or direct a large organisation, success will be measured against performance.  However, behind every successful organisation is something bigger that motivates, inspires, and helps deliver those tangible results - purpose.

Purpose is central to good governance. Determining purpose, the first pillar of The Four Pillars of Governance Best Practice, states that the board has a fundamental role to define and own the company’s purpose. Defining the core purpose is a critical component of determining the company’s strategy, because it specifies the company’s fundamental reason for being (ie why does it exist?) beyond making a profit.

Join us in Greymouth to hear experienced executive and director Steve Jurkovich share his insights and experiences leading organisations in both New Zealand and Australia, and how as directors and business leaders we can align purpose with performance.

Thank you to Development West Coast for their support of this event.

For IoD members who wish to join us for dinner afterwards, please register here for dinner
