Overivew

All too often today companies hear about their data ending up on the dark web and the damage this can do to their business and their reputation. Cyber criminals are also using this online space for transactions, product marketing and "as a service" offerings (yes, you can buy Ransomware as a Service!). But what is the dark web, what does this mean for your business and how can you ensure your data is safe?

Join Peter Bailey, Executive General Manager from Aura Information Security, for a journey into the dark web and a discussion about how your business can better manage this evolving risk.

Our directors’ deep dive discussion-style events are capped at 15 attendees. Whether you are completely new to the topic or have years of relevant experience, you will be encouraged to ask questions and actively contribute your perspective.

Peter Bailey

As General Manager of leading cybersecurity consulting business, Aura Information Security, Peter Bailey’s role is comprised of two key functions: maintaining the company’s strong track record in delivering high quality customer service and solutions; and helping businesses of all shapes and sizes understand the need for robust security practices.

Based out of Aura’s Wellington offices, Peter oversees a team of more than 30 experts – all hand-picked from around the world – to deliver a full range of services to government institutions, SMEs and corporate clients in New Zealand and Australia. This includes consulting services, penetration, red team, Wi-Fi and mobile testing; as well as secure code review and Virtual Security Officer.

Peter is a respected thought leader in the cyber security industry and is regularly called upon by media and Government to provide both comment and advice. He holds the main relationship on the all-of-government security panel and is also part of a government advisory group focused on the skills shortage in the security industry.
