Overview

What will the impact of recreational cannabis legalisation have on society and business if the bill passes in September. What will directors' liabilities be and how can we ensure the best outcomes for organisations and society?

Join this live panel event with experts from The Drug Detection Agency - TDDA, Health & Safety Leaders Forum and CannaSouth who will discuss considerations for directors in preparation of the cannabis referendum leading to recreational cannabis legalisation.

Francois Barton

Francois has been the executive director of the Business Leaders’ Health and Safety Forum since 2015 – an independent coalition of 370+ CEOs launched in 2010.

He has worked across the NZ health and safety ecosystem for 15 years – working to improve NZ’s collective effort to grow healthier, safer and more productive businesses. During that time, he worked in the health and safety regulator in policy, strategy and national programme development. That work demanded Francois to work across government sectors and with businesses of all sizes through significant periods of disruption and change – including the Pike River tragedy. Those experiences reinforced his core leadership philosophy that leadership is about mobilising others to confront difficult realities.

Errol Brain

Errol has been general manager of the Drug Detection Agency - TDDA for the Bay of Plenty and Lakes district since 2013. Before then Errol and his wife, Tracy, were fortunate to travel the world coaching and / or playing rugby.

“We are proud to help TDDA clients create “Drug Free Environments” in the beautiful Bay of Plenty/The Lakes region.  We have offices in Mount Maunganui, Rotorua and Taupo.  We service various industries including forestry, agriculture, transport and various government departments.”
