Trust, Reciprocity and Effectives of Executives
We negotiate daily, often without considering it a negotiation. So what is the secret to effective negotiation and how can poor communication skills negatively impact our effectiveness around the board (and kitchen) table?
After the outstanding success of previous years’ workshops, we are delighted that world class presenter and strategist Professor Ingemar Dierickx is able to deliver again in 2019. Professor Dierickx first presented this interactive workshop to IoD members in 2015 and his insights are something you will not forget in a hurry; the learnings about negotiations and how people behave will stay with you.
The Canterbury Branch of Institute of Directors is very pleased to link with Professor Ingemar Dierickx who is well known to many in Canterbury from his Negotiation Dynamics programme held here over many years.
Prior to the workshop you will be emailed some pre-reading material - please familiarise yourself with this.
Additional post-workshop reading will also be recommended.
Professor Dierickx holds a PhD (Business Economics) from Harvard University and an MBA from the Harvard Business School, where he was a Baker Scholar. He also holds law degrees from Harvard and the Rijksuniversiteit Gent (Lic.Jur.) For nearly 25 years, he was Professor of Negotiation Analysis at INSEAD. Previously, he worked as a Research Associate with Professor Ray Goldberg at the Harvard Business School and with Professor Thomas Schelling (2005 Nobel Prize in Economics). For three decades, Ingemar Dierickx has represented and advised high net worth individuals and corporate clients across a broad spectrum of industries as well as the public sector. As a trainer and coach, he has run hundreds of highly successful negotiation workshops around the world…workshops focused on providing everyday tools for practical outcomes.
Thank you once again to our event sponsor HWR Group for their generous support of this custom workshop for the IoD, allowing our members access to this top class international presenter.
