Pic’s New Factory Tour and Talk
Come check out one of the most exciting business developments in Nelson this year!
Yes – it’s the massive new Pic’s Peanut Butter Factory in Stoke which marks the latest milestone in this home-grown retail success story. It all started in 2005 when Pic was appalled to learn the retail giants had started adding sugar to peanut butter. He whipped up his own alternative, started selling it a weekly farmer’s market, progressed to supermarkets and is now the founder of an international, award-winning product and brand.
Network with other directors, hear from Pic about his business/governance approach, and tour his new factory.
We look forward to seeing you there.
Wellington-born Pic Picot has been a leather worker, bus driver, furniture marker, giftware manufacturer and marketing, boat-builder, sailor and restauranteur, charter boat broker and sailing school operator. He shifted to Nelson and at age 55, began Pic’s Really Good Peanut Butter. In 2010, with deteriorating eyesight, Pic took off his management gloves, set up a governance board and ultimately employed FMCG Specialist, Stu Macintosh, as his GM.
Nowadays, assisted by his trusty guide dog Fido, Pic is heavily engaged an ambassador for his business and as a face for business innovation, not only in Nelson-Marlborough, but throughout New Zealand.
