Ever wondered what you should do faced with a takeover situation?  

We are delighted to welcome to Hawkes Bay Andrew Hudson, Chief Executive of the Takeovers Panel with Andrew Jefferies CEO of New Zealand Oil and Gas. 

Andrew Hudson will be taking us through Directors obligations and responsibilities in a takeover situation, covering legal obligations and Directors duties to shareholders during a takeover. 

Andrew Jefferies will be sharing key lessons from having been through the process, telling us what it feels like to be there.

Andrew Hudson has been the Chief Executive of New Zealand’s Takeovers Panel since 2017.  He was previously the panel’s general counsel. Before joining the organisation in 2011, he was in private practice, specialising in corporate law.

Andrew Jefferies joined New Zealand Oil & Gas in 2013. He started his career with Shell in Australia after graduating with a BE Hons (Mechanical) from the University of Sydney in 1991, an MBA in technology management from Deakin University in Australia , and an MSc in petroleum engineering from Heriot - Watt University in Scotland. He has worked in oil and gas in Australia, Germany, the United Kingdom, Thailand and Holland.
