NHNZ is an international production company that sees the world a little differently. Based in Dunedin, the team at NHNZ collaborates with some of the best filmmakers on the planet to make factual TV for the biggest global broadcasters. Originally a small natural history unit within TVNZ, NHNZ has expanded over 40-plus years to what is now an international production house with a reputation for innovation in storytelling, technology, and business integrity.
We are grateful for the opportunity to hold our event at NHNZ and to hear Managing Director, Kyle Murdoch share his views on governance in this unique and substantial Dunedin-based company. What are the special features of governance of a company that has people operating internationally, an overseas owner, and a workforce that includes the talents and culture of the millennial generation? What are the crucial factors in encouraging the creativity of the talented people who make up NHNZ?
We are told that the future will include a focus on creativity, tech industries, increasing globalisation, and that the millennials will be the dominant demographic in our organisations. Come along and look at what the future of work might look like for us all.
The annual general meeting of the Otago Southland branch of the Institute of Directors will be held at this event and is always brief. Notice of the AGM and an agenda will be available in early February.
