Business: The Changing Landscape
Laurie Sharp, Head of Coaching and Development at ASB, will touch on where we have come from in business, look at emerging trends and discuss ideas that have the potential to completely re-shape the business landscape we operate in. Whilst future focused, he will also acknowledges the importance of what we need to do right now to remain relevant.
This interactive discussion-style event will be capped at 15 attendees only. Whether you are completely new to the topic or have years of relevant experience, you will be encouraged to ask questions and actively contribute your perspective.
Laurie Sharp started in banking 40 years ago, over 20 of those years with ASB where he is currently Head of Coaching and Development.
His prime focus is on people development, leadership and professional (emotional/soft) skills. These range from coaching and leadership, presentation and communication skills, negotiating, networking, changing business trends and business development. Laurie conducts seminars and workshops, 70% of which are to external clients, prospects or professionals as part of a programme of deepening relationships and collaborating in business development opportunities. The other part of his role is focussed on the development of ASB employees.
Laurie works with a wide variety of clients such as The New Zealand Law Society, BDO, Deloitte, KPMG Crowe Horwath, Coca Cola, Chambers of Commerce, and Mitre 10.
Married to Kathie for almost 37 years, they have 3 adult children and 6 grandchildren.
