Raised in Auckland since he was 9, with Samoan heritage, Vena is a governance leader spanning eight sectors and three continents, fluent in five languages. Known as a disruptive accelerant driving transformative, customer-centred change, he holds board roles across Listed, Government, NFP and Private entities. His out-of-the-box thinking created a successful executive career and international ventures. Educated through VIrginia State University, Darden School of Business, with an international BA and MBA from Steinbeis University (Germany) and the Berlin School of Creative Leadership - he applies global thinking to build a more interconnected and prosperous New Zealand.
