NGAHIHI-O-TE-RA BIDOIS, MInstD

Modern-day warrior and cultural leader.

Ngahihi o te ra Bidois draws from the ancient wisdom of his Māori heritage to inspire modern solutions. With his Ta Moko Mataora commanding presence, he shares knowledge that empowers individuals and transforms organisations.

Raised in Aotearoa, Ngahi’s journey spans a diverse and accomplished career. He began in the corporate world, working with a multinational oil company, before transitioning into education—serving as a teacher, Head of Department, lecturer, and senior manager in the tertiary sector before starting his own businesses.

He is now a Professional Director currently serving on 9 boards and a Professional Speaker worldwide.

A dedicated student of both culture and business, Ngahi holds a IOD Certificate in Company Direction and an IOD Advanced Directors course certificate.

He also holds a Marketing Business degree, a postgraduate diploma in secondary teaching, a tourism qualification, and a Master’s in Education with Honours from Massey University. His leadership has been recognised with awards such as National Speakers Association Auckland's New Zealand Speaker of the year, Master of Ceremonies of the year and Inspirational Speaker of the year.

Ngahi has shared his message across the globe—from Malaysia and Cornwall to the United States and throughout Aotearoa. His work centres on a single powerful belief: people are an organisation’s greatest asset. As he often quotes the Māori proverb, "He aha te mea nui o te ao? He tangata, he tangata, he tangata" – "What is the most important thing in the world? It is people, people, people."

Through storytelling, cultural insight and lived experience, Ngahi continues to inspire individuals and communities to embrace their identity, build authentic leadership, and value the people around them.
