MARIA KING MInstD

Maria King is an experienced Chair and Director specialising in early-stage, high-growth ventures tackling complex global challenges. Her governance work spans and intersects science, technology, intelligence, and sustainability, with a focus on scaling organisations that contribute to long-term human and planetary security.

She is currently Chair of Bay Nutrients, Money Sweetspot, MyNoke, D-TX Group and the StandTall Community Trust, and has recently stepped down as Chair of Starboard Maritime Intelligence.  Alongside her board roles and strategic advisory, Maria provides emotional fluency coaching for founders and executives, supporting senior leaders to lead with clarity and conviction through complexity and change.

A Member of the Institute of Directors, Maria is based in the Bay of Plenty and is known for her strategic acuity, ecosystems thinking, relational depth, and future-focused leadership.
