JYMAL MORGAN, MInstD

Jymal Morgan (Ngāi Tahu, Te Whakatōhea) has extensive experience in senior management and leadership positions, with a specific focus at the cross-section between the Māori economy an the fields of science, research, business and innovation. He has a strong interest in creating spaces for Māori to lead in these areas, advancing positive social, cultural and economic outcomes that benefit all New Zealanders.

Closer to home, Jymal is a passionate advocate for his Ngāti Irakehu people, holding various directorships, governance and advisory roles on their behalf. He is also one of the architects of Ngāi Tahu's Āpuanuku programme. A governance development initiative for rangatahi designed to support and prepare the next generation of directors and governance leaders.
