An audit committee’s principal function is to assist the board in producing accurate financial statements in compliance with all applicable legal requirements and accounting standards.
This IoD course introduces concepts such as risk management, risk policies and risk appetite and also reviews the roles and responsibilities of the sub-committee in the area of risk management.
Discussions will include: meeting procedures, best practice and formalities required to meet the requirements of an audit committee.
Course Goals
The aim of this course is to help existing directors to get the most out of the audit committee and ensure it is set up to achieve the board’s objective.
