This new course, currently in development, will provide directors with an enhanced understanding of topics that are particularly relevant to listed companies, set in the context of realistic company situations.
Course Goals
By the end of this course you will be able to:
- Define the elements of an effective and balanced board in a listed environment
- Appreciate the key duties, responsibilities and potential liabilities of a director within a listed company
- Understand how to communicate with shareholders, stakeholders and the media
- Appreciate the impact of the “market for corporate control” on a listed company board
- Identify the risks that face listed companies and strategies for dealing with these risks
Course Topics
We will identify the key issues faced by listed company directors and assist you to develop your own solutions and strategies. Personal insights and accounts from experienced listed company directors will add to the learning experience.
It is expected that participants have previously attended the Company Directors’ Course and/or have significant senior governance experience.
