Entry to membership of the Institute of Directors is open to a range of applicants – from company directors to those involved in governance positions or likely to accept a directorship.
The role of a director is vital to a company’s growth and success. However, it calls for professionalism and integrity in an environment where the duties and obligations of a director are becoming more visible to stakeholders. Therefore, it is a logical, sensible and value-adding step to join the IoD.
The IoD is the only organisation in New Zealand that focuses on serving directors. It is dedicated to representing their interests, partnering with them in their professional development and conducting governance research and thinking.
The IoD is also uniquely positioned in its provision of networking and support opportunities for relevant applicants.
