6. Board Appointments
The IoDs' impartial and professional director recruitment service provides members with access to board appointment opportunities in commercial and not-for-profit boards.
The director recruitment service utilises the IoD membership database to select candidates for board appointments that meet Clients appointment criteria. It utilises candidate skills and competencies, current and past board appointments and executive roles and accreditation status.
To be eligible to be listed on the board appointment database and be considered for appointments to boards you must be a member of the IoD and have registered your interest in appointments with the IoD. The registration process requires members to fill out additional information regarding skills, experience and the types of director positions the applicant is looking for. The applicant is also required to keep a current copy of their CV with the IoD to assist us during the recruitment process.
Not-for-Profit organisations also advertise for board members in the members area of the IoD website. Members can review these opportunities online and apply for the board appointment directly with the organisation concerned.
