4 December 5:15p.m. - 6:30p.m. ~ The Wellington Club
Please join us for our final 2008 function. The topic for Dr Easton's presentation will be "The International Financial Crisis Fallout: Will there be a Meltdown?"
Dr Brian Easton is one of New Zealand’s best known economists, in part because of his fortnightly column in The Listener. But within the profession he is also one of its most senior economists and has written may research papers and books. The latest is Globalisation and the Wealth of Nations. As a result he is included among the handful of ‘Distinguished Fellows of the NZ Association of Economists’.
Dr Easton is also on the Prime Minister’s Growth and Innovation Advisory Board, chaired by Stephen Tindall, which is the main interface between the private and public sectors on economic growth strategy. This evening he is going to talk in another area of expertise which is international financial crises and their economic repercussions.
