Peer Support Programme
This Branch offers a complimentary and confidential Peer Support Programme to allow members of the Institute of Directors to discuss professional and personal issues with a senior director. Members are offered an initial contact of 1-3 meetings, and if more support is required the member will be encouraged to consider professional assistance.

Aspiring Director Study Award
Since 1999 this Branch has offered members and non-members from the Canterbury or West Coast area the opportunity to apply for their annual Aspiring Directors Study Award. The Award is open to those who aspire to be on a Board or, if they are already a director, wish to broaden their board experience. Criteria for entry are advised each year as the applications for the awards are opened. The prize for the winner of the award receives a range of prizes designed to assist him/her foster the discipline of good governance through the acquisition of technical knowledge and opportunities for networking via branch meetings.
